The Saxon, Nottens Bushcamp and Royal Livingstone feedback

Nottens Bush Camp Victoria Falls

Judy Stewart brought her family to South Africa for some fun and action with a luxury angle:

Hi Vanessa!  We can’t thank you enough for your help as the trip was beyond perfection. Everyday was exciting and we certainly had the best tour guides that one could have!  I’ll give you the highlights since we had breakfast with you at our very favorite B and B, the Bishops Court:

Kirstenbosch gardens is glorious and the sculpture a must see, lunch there was poor

-Fancourt was the only letdown. It is poorly maintained, severely over priced and completely overrated on every level, including the golf. Would not recommend to anyone. -Loved the drive around the Plettenberg Bay and Knyser harbors.

-Enjoyed touring Pt. Elizabeth and could have spent more time there -Soweto with Kenny as a guide is a very special experience and a highlight of the trip

-the boys did Cradle of Mankind which they enjoyed but may not be for everyone -2 art galleries were excellent and world class: Evard Reed (contemporary) and Kim Zach (African)

-Constitutional Court area is a must- brilliantly and sensitively done, very artistic -Saxon Hotel is rated the best B & B in the world and it is! A must for all to experience and to have a drink.

-Nottens Camp-  We loved the whole scene. The managers were terrific, we saw tons of animals and the guides were real pros. The lack of electricity was almost part of the experience. But, the food is too mundane and could, with direction, be easily upgraded in content and presentation

-Victoria Falls-  The Royal Livingstone held up to its reputation and had impeccable service. We adored the “colonial” experience!

The Bottom Line: South Africa is the most gorgeous country that we have ever visited. This was absolutely the trip of a life time! It was a delightful mix of glorious scenery, history, art, great food along with the Falls and the wild game experiences.  P.S. Let me know if you need further explanation on any of our observations.  Hugs to you!
